I just thought to myself, I could really go for some waffles. Then it struck me, I bought waffles yesterday!! Commence waffle eating. :D
In a few hours, I’ll be shopping/eating in Chinatown. My NY experience has been really great so far. Yesterday I went to the library and attended a Russian conversation table, which is where people attempt to speak solely Russian. I felt like I was in a movie where the young adult makes friends with really old people because everyone there was 50+ and there was only 6 people, including myself. hahaha The native speaker loved me though, so that was awesome. Leads me to believe my Russian can’t be all that bad, or I’m a lovable character. Either one works for me.
In front of the library, there’s a big open space. They had a jazz band playing and people were swing dancing. It was adorable, especially the older couples. I wanted to die.
One thing that bothers me about the library is that the fiction section is closed off. I asked someone working there why, and they gave me this really ridiculous answer, which was “there are too many books.”
Uhhhh…WHAT?!?!!? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?!?
I know, quality post at 4 in the morning. But hey, if you’re awake to read it, not my problem. :P
I had 60 minutes to complete a four page russian test. It had too much translating, cases, and complicated grammar rules to remember. YEAH, I DIDN’T FINISH TO SAY THE LEAST. :((((
